Does PC Tools iAntivirus scan Limewire downloads?

I am buying a Mac soon, and I just want to know if iAntivirus scans Limewire downloads. If it doesn’t, could you please tell me one that does. Thanks.
PC Tools doesn’t work on Macs, LOL!
There is some free antivirus software for Macs, but they don’t usually get infected, so it doesn’t matter.
Hackers don’t bother writing viruses for Macs — there just aren’t enough Macs in circulation to be worth their programming time — seriously! There really aren’t any viruses out there for Macs. Well, there’s one or two, but the probability of infection is slim to none.
Oh, and although I DO have PC Tools for my PC, I’m sorry, but it doesn’t offer 100% protection against viruses — especially not those you download from Limewire!
Although it DOES scan them, but hackers do know how to make their viruses FUD (fully undetectable) and it’s usually a few weeks before the AV (antivirus) companies find the new viruses and update their databases. As soon as they do, the hackers then just recrypt their viruses and re-release them.
Downloading from Limewire is especially hazardous as it’s a favorite site to use for "spreading" their viruses — why do you think they offer all those free music and movie files for free anyway? Many viruses can also disable your PC Tools software, and your firewalls too.

Is it a matter of concern, how can i resolve it free or can i ignore it? can i rectify it with the help of any other free software/programme? If yes please mention the web site. Can I delete the PC tools registry mechanic & install a new substitute? Is pc tools registry mechanic important? I have dell laptop (vista)3gbr, 2gh, 32 bit Thanks.

There are many registry programs and most of them do not help much.
The windows registry is very fragile and must be handled as such.
