How safe is it to use registry cleaner, bit torrent?
November 4th, 2009
1 The program registry cleaner finds out the registry that has errors and gives an option to remove them, how safe is it to use it?
#2 How safe is it to use bit torrent?
#3 which is the best antivirus AVG or Kaspersky or Mcafee or Norton
thank you!
1. Becareful of registry cleaners if you are unsure of how to use them. I used a pretty nice one called "crap cleaner," it is free and it is simplified to use. I use this in conjunction with Spybot Search and Destroy, also free. Use the Search and Destroy, first. Be sure to UPDATE and immunize first, then run it. Run crap cleaner, after. The crap cleaner will give you the option to create a back-up – when I first started using it, I did, but after, I avoided it. It also gives you the option to review the registry entries or look for erroneous programmes you do not remember installing, and removing them. With crap cleaner, I clean the hard drive first, and then I run the "issues" scan.
2. Bit Torrent is safe to use, you just have to look at the source of the download, obviously if its some crazy sex site in Romania, it might be loaded with viruses. I cannot suggest sites for downloading illegal files. Though, I prefer to use Utorrent, because it has a simpler interface and uses less resources. I also use a virus scanner, as described below.
3. I used AVG free dition as it uses less resources. It updates itself daily, and I have yet to have a problem. If it tries to tell you your edition is about to be no longer supported, that’s crap. Choose not to upgrade, and after 30 days that notice goes away and it still updates itself.

1. I use CCleaner and Eusing for a long time and they never gave me any problems. If in doubt you can set up a restore point before cleaning up the registry errors they present.
2. Any torrent clients (u torrent is the most popular) are safe in themselves the problem can be in what is downloaded through them. Some downloads contain viruses and trojans. You must read comments from other downloaders at torrent search engines eg BT junkie and Isohunt regarding each torrent.
And after download always scan them with an antivirus before opening them.
3. Kaspersky is the best but not free. The best free antivirus programs are Avast, AVG or Avira. Can only run one at a time on a PC.

bit torrent is an ok software as far as torrent downloading is concerned…….
u can use free download manager …it also helps download .exe and other files from the internet and also helps download torrents….
kaspersky is the bestest best in the market right now but technology changes everyday so u hav to keep urself updated
norton 360 is a piece of crap now adays..it is heavy on the pc and despite the fact that it has so many features it is unable to protect fully
norton internet security 2009 is good rather very good….light and has a good security mechanism
mcaffe is very light and is moderate in it’s approach towards cleaning/////
rest as i said above tech changes but as far my experience goes kaspersky works great with—xp, vista and now windows 7 too…i am using that

Registry cleaners are mostly unnecessary, the Windows registry is huge and very forgiving….Reg cleaners are mostly hype.

Any time you are trying to illegally steal stuff, be it movies, software, games or music the chances are excellent that your computer will one day become badly infected with viruses or other malware.
Doesn’t matter if you use Limewire, Frostwire, BitTorrent, USENET, or warez sites.
When you are getting stuff for free that you would normally have to pay for, there is NEVER any guarantees! There is no regulation or consumer protection.
The internet was never intended to be an open-air bazaar of stolen and illicit content, for the lazy and puke kids who steal instead of earn their way threw life.

AVG is wildly popular with children and the computer illiterate but has historically had the lowest virus detection rate of all the popular free anti-virus programs.
McAfee has dropped off the chart in the last few years. Avoid.
Norton 2009 is very good but expensive.
Double-ditto for Kaspersky.

There are no problems as such in using registry cleaners and bit torrents. If you have a good knowledge of system registry then of course you can use them. Though registry cleaners often report missing or unused or damaged registries that can be safely removed and completely remove a software from your computer. But if by chance a key component or some useful entry is deleted it can be fatal as you may end up corrupting your OS and then you might have to reinstall it.
So use it but carefully and always trust the certified and authorised vendors as these programs may send away your personal info over the net and put your system at risk.
As far as bit torrent downloaders are concerned download any of them but always make sure you have a strong firewall nd a working, up-to-date anti-virus and always select those files which have maximum seeds but do not always trust them as most of them are fake.
As per my advice go for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 as it can run on even the slowest of the systems and yet is very efficient.

A good registry repair software can make your computer run better by eliminating crashes and instances where your computer fall down! When you de-fragment your registry, it should also optimize the way windows stores information necessary to the operation of the system. Registry repair softwares that are not well designed could cause more problems in the long run.
Step1
A good registry cleaner look for all potential problems, but sometimes, the registry cleaner that finds the most errors is actually doing the poorest job, since it might be showing errors when there really aren’t any. Some tools does it intentionally as their developers set the tool such a way so that it can show user that it is good! But the truth is that many of the so called errors are false positives. Some poor tools even can’t properly identify problems.
Step2
But as it is not safe to repair registry manually, you should get an efficient cleaning tool. Fortunately, most registry cleaners allow you to test their product for free to see which one you like best. Be sure to find a registry repair program with a user-friendly and visually eye catching interface. Also make sure the registry repair software you choose has a vivid help file resource that is updated on a regular basis.
Step3
Again, look for friendly customer support. You should prefer product that gives you 24 hour customer service and it’s ideal if you can actually talk to a human being over the phone. Look for a registry repair software program that’s been around for a while. You should not rely on such product that doesn’t have many reviews. Also, look for good companies that have reputation on developing such technical tools and read reviews of their previously developed products.
